Hi lacnetters, A couple of days ago, there was a posting from someone (sorry
I haven't kept the name) who wrote a caution concerning using corn starch in
the warm, moist areas under the breasts, as it presents a good medium for
yeast infections. She also suggested using talc instead. I had thought
that corn starch was pretty inocuous as there is no perfume. I had thought
there was some concern about using talc because of the minute particles of
metal in the talc, (is lead or aluminum?) (Rembering the incident in France
several years ago when a large number of babies died supposedly from
contamination and infections in the lungs caused by the overuse of talum
powder) My questions are: is talc and talcum powder the same thing? and
what is safer to use?(using nothing is probably the safest)
Thanks, Kathy Bodden
