In a message dated 97-06-04 09:02:01 EDT, you write:

<< I do know that when IBLCE did their tally for the government for role
delineation,
85% of IBCLCs held degrees in a health profession (RN, MD, RD, etc) and the
 vast majority were RNs. >>

I just wanted to say that I am an RN, but I really haven't worked in the
trenches as an RN in years, but do still use the designation. Over last
several years I have done pt LC work, taught bf seminars. I currently teach
CPR classes, BF classes., parenting classes and am hoping for a part time LC
position soon. There are probably many current LCs that keep up their RN
license too but mostly function as LCs.
And now re the US delegate. There was a resignation during the term and Mary
Grace Lanese (former US DEL) was asked to come back and serve for a time. An
appointment will be made to finish the term, I believe. Feel free to contact
any board member for further clarification.
