I am still nomail but need to ask you all a question. What are your
policies for the first enteral feeding for very low birth weight babies?
I believe there is research to back up the practice of priming the gut
with previously frozen colostrum. Then once the baby has received the
colostrum, freshly pumped (and even never refrigerated) milk is the best
option, especially when using continuous gavage. Any feedback would be
appreciated. Please write me privately at [log in to unmask] Thanks!
