Hi,
Guess I should introduce myself, since I've been lurking until now. I'm Lisa
Mo, a LLL in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Just wanted to mention that lead can be found in certain canned foods, from
countries that still use lead solder, etc. A young boy, doing a science
project--can't remember the name or state--sent samples of canned food to a
lab to test for lead, which found it in things like bamboo shoots from China,
and even a can from a western European country. Do they eat ethnic foods
which might come from lead-contaminated cans?
Also, I recall seeing a post from Dr. Jack Newman recently, I believe, which
mentioned calcium supplements (especially those which are derived from bone)
which may be contaminated with lead.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
Lisa Mo
