It is my understanding (possibly faulty--any vets out there, or dairy
scientists?) that the volume of milk a cow produces is only the first step.
Not all of the milk produced will then make an equal volume of formula
because that original fluid has to be changed and in the changing, volume
is lost.
Think of what is done of different parts of the milk and you will get the
notion that I am trying (with difficulty) to convey.
So, what x number of cows produce in milk in a given year in a given
country does not = the same volume of formula that would derive from that
volume.
