I just wanted to add that if the mother truly has a urinary tract
infection, correct treatment will decrease her symptoms very quickly and
pyridium would not be necessary at all, or could be discontinued after
even 24 hours or less.

One of the biggest problems involved in drugs and breastfeeding is the
fact that so often drugs are used for no good reason at all, and then
the mothers are told to stop breastfeeding.  AAARGH!
