Jan, I don't know if you've read this book, but I was disappointed in it. I
loved others in the series: Gabrielle Palmer's Politics of Breastfeeding and
Barbara Katz Rothman's Tentative Pregnancy. But Motherhood, What it does to
your mind, didn't have the same impact, IMHO!
I've just found it: it has a chapter called "Breast is Best....But for
Whom?" She says "In summary, then, breast-feeding is agreed to be
theoretically best for mother and baby, from both physical and psychological
standpoints. In reality, few mothers follow this advice for longer than a
few weeks....."
