Oh my, I'm always getting myself into hot water, aren't I? My comments
about toxicity from too much DHA were clearly noted as referring to a child,
not an adult, and clearly specified as being told to me by a doctor at a
breastfeeding conference, not read in a scientific study. Also, it was a
person at Martek who told me, in the spring of 1995, that their algae were
genetically-engineered. I guess the person who told me that was mistaken.
My apologies to all. Be it known that I do not hold stock in either Martek
or Intelligent Choice, Inc. Also be it known that Intelligent Choice, Inc.
has changed the name of their DHA supplement and is now calling it Pristine
DHA and Pristine DHA, Jr. (instead of the formerly mentioned "Einstein" and
"Einstein, Jr."). They have a web page with the abstracts of lots of
research articles about DHA, located at
http://www.health1.com/welcome/welcomeindex.html Follow the links for DHA
and for research articles. That's a numeral one after "health" in the URL.
