How do non western places handle tongue tie- Is this more of a problem in the
West or is it seen as frequently in other places?

When clipping the frenulum--what kind of analgesia/anesthetic do you use?
 I've mainly seen the "brace the baby" and clip.  I'm sure this must hurt
just like any other procedure involving cutting tissue (after that exhausting
thread on circumcision-just didn't want to post this to the entire Lactnet).

Any special tips on clipping procedure?  Post clipping care - how long before
the baby is comfortable to nurse?
