When I was a ped resident in Baltimore in th 70's, someone tried making ice
cream out of the excess free formula Ross had donated.  Tasted awful.  Also
been told that cow's milk has been used to "white wash" fences in Lima,
Peru.  Seems it gave a lot of people diarrhoea (lactose intolerance) so
they decided to paint it on their houses instead. David
