Tandum nursing! It was the best thing I remember about nursing. My daughter
was 16 months old and bfing when I brought home our son. In fact she came to
the hospital and nursed within a few hours of delivery. Her cheeks became
pink and healthy - I swear - while she nursed. It was like " full food
again." I nursed the two at the same time, she would reach over and pat the
baby while they both nursed. then she would let go and run and play. Always
knowing this new little guy wasn't getting anything different than she was
getting, and knowing she always welcome to come get more ( food or security -
whatever she needed at the time) whenever she wanted! I t was a great way
to take naps. I have pictures of the 3 of us sleeping and nursing (I was
sleeping, they were nursing).
Tandum nursing isn't for everyone (maybe), but is certainly was the right
thing for my family. They each nursed until age 3. Now they are 12 and 13,
and boy would I love to have that quality time again.
Sorry for going on and on, but it brings back such good memories!
