Breastfeeding "protects" against breast cancer (ie. reduces the risk) in
the same way that car seats "protect" infants/children in car accidents.
Sure, sadly there are some children who die in their car seats, just as
some women who breastfed for 10 years develop breast cancer.  Maybe the
semantics are just wrong.  Not breastfeeding INCREASES the risk...
