I agree wholeheartedly that *some* breastmilk is clearly better than
none, and feel it's perfectly OK to mix the two if needed.
I have heard, although it's somewhat controversial--particularly, it
seems, with our WIC folks here--that if mixing breastmilk and ABM, one
should use low-iron ABM because the iron in the ABM may interfere with the
absorption of the iron from the breastmilk. I don't think this is
particularly important when using ABM and breastmilk at different feeds,
but may be of concern when mixing feeds. Anyone out there have more info
on this?
