I have heard that the majority of a baby's nutrition is received fairly
quickly, too. However, at one of Jack Newman's talks, I remember him
addressing the 10 minute thing. Basically, they watched how long it took a
baby to drink a bottle (about 10 minutes), hence, a baby should be finished
one breast in 10 minutes. Very interesting logic. Sorry I can't give you
any scientific 'facts', just thought this was kind of interesting.
Also, if this doctor said the baby gets 80% in 10-15 mins, when will he get
the other 20% if she takes him off after that time period?
