My understanding about human milk is it does have some anti-HIV properties.
Lois Arnold will be speaking in July at the LLLI conference on
"alternative uses of human milk." I believe that this is one of the slated
sub-topics (along with burn treatment), and I can't wait to hear what she
has to say. Over Easter dinner with friends, I mentioned some of the
alternative uses of human milk and the men in the room got really excited.
The capitalist/entrepreneurs all jumped and said, "Can't we bottle this
stuff and make money off it?" They obviously don't get it. I did discuss
milk banking in other countries and the fact that women can actually make a
reasonable sum of money from this.
