Hi All,
Got a call tonight from one of our WIC PC's. Seems a mom called her
desperate to know how to bottle feed (formula) her totally BF 6 week old
baby. When asked why she needed to bottle feed the baby she was told:
"I was dying some clothes today and got dye all over my hands. It wouldn't
wash off, so I called the pediatrician. He told me that since he didn't
know if it was safe (dye on her hands) to feed the baby formula until he got
hold of the company for info."
OK...so, we definitely harm the baby (with formula) until we find out if
having clothing dye (the RIT dye) on your hands is safe. DUH...
Laughing in Sacramento...but feeling badly for the mom and baby (who, BTW,
refused the bottle!)
