Hi All,
Had to share with you another reason to not BF.
Met this gal in the grocery store yesterday. We got to talking about what
we each do for a living. I told her what I do (pump rentals and BF
counseling). She looked down at her breasts and said:
"Oh, I didn't go that route with either of my kids. I was really anemic
during pregnancy and the doctor loaded me up with so much extra iron that my
babies had to be fed no-iron formula. I wanted to BF, but you know, when
you're that anemic, you just can't."
Oh, brother! I was stunned. It was all I could do to not laugh out loud
and say "You have GOT to be kidding!" And since when is there a NO-iron
AIM? Low-iron, yes. She said that Similac had a no-iron AIM. I have never
seen it, anyone else?
Oh, well....
