I received a letter in the mail from Carol Ferree, Senior Project
Leader, Ross Products Division and I quote:
"In response to your query on the sterility status of Ross' Volu-Feed
Nursers I offer the following:
Volu-Feed Nursers are sterilized in accordance with the ANSI/AAMI/ISO
11137-1994 standard for 'Sterilization of health care products -
Requirements for validation and routine control'. Approved May 25, 1994
and July 11, 1994, by the Association for the Advancement of Medical
Instrumentation and the American National Standards Institute, Inc.
This document sets the standard for one form of sterilization of medical
devices and is generally accepted worldwide as the definitive
sterilization standard for the sterilization method used. Additionally,
FDA accepts this document as the standard for the sterilization method
used.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to call me at
(614)624-3577."
I guess we have an answer about the sterility of Volufeeds?
