Dr. Chet Berlin published an article on silicone which was in Pediatrics
about 4 years ago, at the height of the hysteria.  I have misplaced it,
but it should be easy to get.  It's a very good article.

Colic medicines are full of silicone and are used by millions of babies
without appreciable effect.  The mother should not worry about nursing
even if the silicone leaks.  The baby would just poop it out anyhow, as
it is not absorbed.
