For those of you collecting stupid statements about breastfeeding, here
is another.

I got a call today from the mother of a 14 month old.  She told me that
when her baby was 4 months old, the pediatrician told her it was time to
start solids and cut back on breastfeeding. Why?  So the baby would
learn to SPEAK sooner!!  Maybe that explains why my almost 2 year old
has only about 10 words (including "urse").

Mom is still nursing and is pregnant with #2 so at least she didn't
listen, but *really*.
