Anne,
The baby is in serious trouble. Call the MD, record your conversation while
speaking to him. THis is a common feature on answering machines. Do not
talk to the nurse about it. Demand that he call you back. When he does, tell
him your concern, and then FOLLOW IT UP with a written note, delivered to
his office.
If anyone is in danger of dying, make sure that you have notified the proper
people...and give him a clear concise version of what has happened with this
mother. It is in his hands, then.
You don't have time to waste. Get thee to the phone and the compuoter...call
him and then deliver him a copy of all notes on this woman and her baby.
Someone needs to intervene and NOW>
