There is absolutely no reason why a mother on bactrim cannot breastfeed.
In the first place you don't need antibiotics for a "chest cold".
However, this same doctor undoubtedly used bactrim for this same child
innumerable times because the sort of doctor who treats chest colds with
antibiotics treats all sorts of fever in children with antibiotics.  The
baby can breastfeed.

Let's all say that over again.  THE BABY CAN BREASTFEED when the mother
is on bactrim.

Another few weeks on Lactnet, and I will go nuts.
