hi all, re: brfdg promo activities for Valentines day, i need some input re:
dads, and how they have/can support mom/infant breastfeeding. specifiacally,
i would like anecdotal info (this is not research--yet) from you .

This stems from ONE male response to "Breastfeeding, a Gift of Love" as on the
order of 'oh gag me with a spoon--how sickening ly sweet can you get. " He
felt better when told it was in conjuntion with Val day etc but still didn't
feel like it touched him particularly. SO---

You men out there with "breastfeeding experience" (and pleasse don't grab
your chests and grimace, like Another Dad I spoke to)--What did you find
rewarding about it? Anything? Or was it more "a Woman Thang"?
What hints/advice would you offer other men on how to support the mom?
     On how to support themselves?
What could you do to make it easier for mom?
What did mom do that made it easier for you (i.e. did you have to find new
ways to get her attention?)
Some guys have said, in effect,'great, she gets the fun end, i get the
messy end'
Is it workable to have "daddy time" with the infant/other sibs so mom can
sleep, then have "mommy/daddy/nobaby time" when the infant naps, rather than
mommmy nap then?

Moms --what was your experience with dads? what made it more positive?

Thanks!--please email me as i am having trouble keeping up with digests by
date, and permission to use the hints etc for flyers, fact sheets, Valentines
cards etc....
