In reference to Debbi Shinskie 's comments about TB....My point in referring
the person who initially asked about the topic to the book references was so
they would LOOK IT UP. One of the best resources we have is the wonderful
literature that has been provided by the experts....like Lawrence. I think
it is much more sound to have an acceptable written "resource" when you are
trying to have an educated discussion (especially with a medical
professional). Haven't you ever been asked "what's your reference on that?"
I doubt that many physicians would accept an answer off the "lactnet"
unless, of course it was from Dr. Newman or Hale etc. Anyway, my note to
the original person was specifically vague with the intent of educating by
suggesting the person do further reading.
I think the best education I have received was from my "bosom buddy" who
said "have your checked in your Lawrence/Auerbach books yet?" when I asked
her a question. Turned me around and made me look further in my own before
asking.

Ps to the person who questioned Karen Z's motives....I thought we were not
supposed to insinuate moral character on this net??? I happen to know her
and she is a wonderful lady. BTW she lives in Louisiana, and is helping with
the ILCA conference. Perhaps you will have an opportunity to meet her if you
go.
