I know a mother who is nursing her 8 yr. old. He nurses frequently
throughout the day and night. The milk supply is still bountiful. He shows
no signs of weaning soon. She is a single mother. She divorced her husband
when her son was two because her husband was dealing cocaine. She has a
family bed. Her husband knows about the nursing and is supportive, but very
few others know. I wonder how the courts would treat her case? Liz
Baldwin said children aren't usually taken from the home because of
breastfeeding only. I am wondering can extended breastfeeding be reason to
start an investigation? Once started how does the issue of family beds play
into it?
