As one other poster, this is my own experience here.  When my son, who is
now almost 4 and still nursing, was 2-3/4, he had rotavirus.  He didn't
have much diarrhea, but vomited almost all solids, and was very nauseous.
The ONLY things he would drink were 'cold and colder' water, and
breastmilk from nursing.  After about 2-1/2 days, he kept the breastmilk
down for longer and longer times.  I was told he'd be sick for about 7
days; he was sick for 4-1/2.  If I was not still nursing him at that time,
he would have had to be hospitalized.  He WOULD NOT TOUCH pedialyte.
AGain, when he was 3, he recently had a vomiting flu for 2 days.  He was
healthy again with lots of breastfeeding and a one dose of kaolyte.

This woman should continue to nurse!  Thanks for listening. -janna
