 Bonnie:  Yes, giving free formula gift packs is against the WHO code.
Yes, it will be difficult to get rid of them, but not impossible.  Why just
look, of the 5600 hospitals in the US, ONE of them actually has been
certified as Baby Friendly (Evergreen in WA).  I have been told personally
by many a US hospital adminitrator that it will be a cold day in h_ll
before they give up the freebies (not just the formula, but pacifiers,
isoletes, warmers, free architecture re-designing, lunches, books, pens,
pads, etc).  Take heart though, the situation is different in other places.
