FOr what its worth, the same issue of TIME shows the new Defense Secretary as
William Cohen---I do not have the address for him or the Joint Chiefs/Army but
even in the midst of all the sexual harassment flak, this
breastfeeding/parenting issue deserves attention/letters re: policy. I think
the one Liz wrote citing all the moms she sees that struggle to succeed would
be really good, as it addresses the contract/commitment issue *and* what
others have done to cope.

This issue is going to Federal Court "this week"--according to Feb 24
issue--so is that week of 24th? Its confusing. HOwever, time is short. If
they settle out of court, the LC support angle may be a good one for the Army
to offer--certainly cheaper than training another pilot!!!--and one the Brass
probably has no concept of offering out of ignorance. Maybe Lt Cuevas would
learn something more, too. (It sounds like she does not pump at all--"she
rushes home " when notified by babysitter that child is hungry early!)

I won't be able to do email again till Tuesday as this is my work computer
Any response from me to comments will have to wait till then--and as I get
behind on these digest things quickly, personal email gets read sooner if
anyone wants something particular from me. THanks for your consideration.
