Lactnetters have been bringing up the problem of very short "latch-ons" --

I'm assuming everyone's tried all the different positions.  I have found that
babies who stop to rest often, then lose their griip, so to speak, can be
assisted by supporting the breast so its weight isn't resting on their chins.
With this assistance, babies seem to suckle longer, and also don't seem to
let go as much during their rest phases.
