I want to thank all who responded to my inquiry about pumping to induce my
labor. I have results to report. I tried single pumping for 2 minutes each
side at 4:00 p.m., then 4 minutes each side at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, April
24. My water broke at 12:45 a.m., and regular contractions started coming 6
minutes apart at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25. When I got to the hospital
at 3:30 a.m. I was 4 cm dilated, and 80% effaced! My wonderful baby girl
was born at !:50 pm. Friday, April 25. I think the pumping helped, and I
was thrilled that I finally went into labor without pitocin! Leah Elizabeth
weighed 7 lb. 9 oz., 20 inches
My colleague found the article: "Induction of Labor with and Electric
