I have a client who is having a difficult time with a plugged duct. She is
trying massage, warm baths, feeding her baby a lot, changing positions a lot.
She is trying to locate a vibrator to see if that will help and I thought
she might try all of the above along with a hospital grade breast pump. Her
Dr. also prescribed an antibiotic to see if that could help....does anyone
have any other ideas. Also, she wants to know what will happen if the plug
doesn't dislodge....I told her she might experience a mastitis, or loose the
milk supply in that area? What have you experienced? Most of the women who
I've helped eventually get things going. This moms problems have lasted for
three days now.
