We are thinking about trying something new at our hospital and would like to
hear from any of you who work in OB. Our C-sections are currently being
recovered in the surgical recovery room. It has been suggested that they
return to their LDR room for recovery instead and the L&D nurse will recover.
I like this idea since it will make it easier for the mom and infant to bond
and Bf early instead of the baby staying in the nursery for four hours. I
have also suggested that the moms be offered the opportunity of nursing the
infant on the surgery table immediatly after he is delivered. What a novel
idea NOT! Any feed-back on your policies would be welcomed TIA
