My husband (also an RN) and I survived career day at the Junior High
yesterday. The kids listened well but ask few questions. The funniest was a
question on if triplets all were born with "those things attatched to thier
bellies".
Since I was there as a RN it was mentioned in our introductions that I was
a LC and that I taught breastfeeding. Later after we gave them all our nurse
talk stuff, and there were no more questions, (about 10 min total time!) then
I handed out a survey. Some looked at it as a quiz. It had simple bf
questions. Then I handed out a bf facts sheet that we give out in the
hospital. Yes some were embarrased at the topic. But if one child decides
to try bf as a result of a seed beeing planted it will have been a day well
spent!
