Actually two things do not relate here... Munchausen's by Proxy, the
syndrome I believe you are referring to is usually physical damage to the
child, most often suffocation not starvation and two these mother's are
seeking attention from the medical community... my mother is actively
avoiding contact -- she called me once, the next six calls, I initiated bc
she did not call me back as requested/promised. She was also a no show on at
least one occassion to the MDs office and does not call him for help (chart
notes do not indicate she called the number of times she told me she did)...
So if there is a syndrome at work here it has to be starvation and avoidance
of help... definetly not Munchausen's!
Thanks for thinking about it, though -- There are so many of us out here
worried about this baby... if only all that love is getting through to
him... and his mother...
I'll keep you posted as I hear more.
