Oops. As someone pointed out to me, my comment about LLLL as a style of
parenting came out wrong. I did not mean to imply that LLL represents
one style of parenting. LLL does have 10 concepts to which I as a LLLL
must aspire and which I can share with mothers. But mothers who come to
LLL need not believe as we do to come to meetings or get help. LLLL's
know to accept a mother where she is at in her mothering, and as it says
in BAB (1991,pg.11), if you can't handle a certain situation, refer the
mom to someone else.
