I would like to know how many hospitals give patients home visits after
d /c ?  Is it a service from the hospital (ie part of the overall hosp
bill ), payed for my medicaid , paid for by moms.??? do ALL moms get
them that want them , or just some?

At our hospital , medicaid moms get them if they are d / c prior to 48
hours for vag del , and medicaid pays for it. Our pre admitting clerk
checks with privte insurance companies as part of the precert , and if
they say they will give one we tell mom, we willl also do them on moms
whose ins does not cover , but the moms are responsible for the bill.
