Over the years, I have spoken to many mothers whose toddlers have had
cocksackie's viral infections (hoof and mouth disease or more affectionately
by local pedis-hand, foot and mouth disease) and have developed viral sores
around their nipples. Well, we seem to have an epidemic running through our
community. All the nursing toddlers play together and have shared this
virus and all of their mothers are suffering together. Does anyone have any
comfort suggestions? I know not to recommend creams containing capsaisin.
[Of course, I learned this the hard way when my toddler shared his virus
with me and my favorite nurse recommended it:)] Any suggestions would be
appreciated! CAthy Liles
