Hi Lactnetters:
Does anyone have any experience or information that could help out with the
following?
I have a woman who conceived only after several treatments with Pergonal. She
had twins. About 5 months post partum she developed a dry, red, puffy
inflammation around her eyes. The dermatologist prescribed steroid cream,
which she reluctantly used. She began to wean as the twins approached 2,
dropping from 6 to 4 feedings per day. The symptoms cleared up for 3 days,
even without the steroid cream, then resumed. When she dropped another
feeding, this scenario repeated itself. She completely weaned at 27 months,
and was symptom free for 3 months after that. The conditon then resumed with a
vengeance at day 13 of her cycle. This sounds to me like it might be hormonal,
and I suggested that she see an endocrinologist. I'd appreciate any possible
input on this.
Please respond privately as I must go no-mail. Thank you.
