Thank you for the responses to my question. The mother "listens" to
Lactnet so she read them and said she appreciates the information. She
did go for a second opinion. She saw Dr. T---s, the
renowned-for-his-support-of-breastfeeding pediatrician in Hollywood, FL.
He found the lumps to be bilateral and reassured her of the unlikely
possibility of their being CA. He used the term premature thelarche. I
had to look it up: means-development of breasts in prepubertal females.
(does "thel" mean breast and "arche" mean development?) She has decided
to resume breastfeeding and monitor the lumps. The lumps could go away
or always be there. No further testing or referral to endocrinologist
at this time. She is not on any meds and eats a much better diet than I
do, calling herself "Mrs. Natural". She said she would let me know if
anything else happens. I will relay the info.
Does anyone have a good OTC meds and bf list? I have one from
Pharmacy Time Nov & Dec 1995, but would like a newer one.
