In response to Janaki in El Cerrito, yes I have heard of colloidal silver
being used for all these things. While I cannot produce high quality
epidemiologic studies, it is believed that the colloidal silver is a very
effective anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal. I am a Nature's
Sunshine Products user/distributor, so I've experimented (on myself) a bit
with this product for use in infections. Several bf moms locally have
reported a high degree of success with this for some of the other uses
you've listed (although I haven't supplied it to others because I have some
reservations about the unknowns). My one concern would be that of toxicity
levels. If anyone out there has good journal article citations or
randomized controlled trial reports, I'd love to hear about them. TIA
