Read the reviews in JHL on videos for the past two-three years. This will
give you a good objective opinion of the pros and cons of each video listed
there. Order information is provided with each review.
THEN get a few and look at them yourself. I recommend looking at it a
minimum of 4 times:
time 1: as if you were any old viewer, first time through
time 2: turn off the sound and just LOOK at the images
time 3: turn on the sound but turn around and just LISTEN to the
narration
time 4: go back and see entire thing again and note where words and
pictures do not match or contradict one another, etc.
Such a review will give you a good idea whether you want to use the piece
or not. Better yet, have another person or two do this with you and then
share your individual impressions.(This is a great learning esxperience for
people not familiar with what videos do well and also badly.)
