When discussing salmonella in the context of infants and feeding , a
couple of tidbits:
Infants fed iron-fortified abm are twice as likely to contract salmonella
as infants fed non-iron fortified abm.
Infants who are abm fed have a *9* times greater risk of contracting
salmonella than infants who (are lucky enough to be) bf!

Consultants and Educators seminar: Bf Management: Meeting the
Challenges.
My understanding is *any* reptile can possibly be a carrier of salmonella
and am interested in hearing from those better informed.
