What a great idea for a collective vent!
My personal favourite, when talking about stupid (dangerous?!) advice, is
advice given by a local doctor to Mum's with mastitis:

"Don't feed baby from the affected breast because he will get sick.  You
must express/pump that breast until all of the pus has been removed"  !!

Isn't that fantastic <sarcasm & sobbing>
