Barbara, i appreciated your comments about some sucking problems being
secondary to a lack of suffici calories ( which i call hypocaloremia) and
definitely see improvement in sucking ability when baby is fed well. As Linda
and I say to our students: Rule #1 is FEED THE BABY. Your pondering about
thirst and connection to tongue up at the roof of the mouth is provocative.
Any idea what the physiological basis would be for this?
