I don't know if they meant it that way, but my impression of the Parents
Magazine article was that the pathologist was saying there was no point to
taking a SIN-fed baby off it so far as IDDM is concerned.   I took this to
mean that the damage would have already been done, that is, once the baby
has been sensitized to bovine protein, the IDDM risk has been established,
and there is no protection available from avoiding those proteins in the future.

Does anyone know of research that tests this?
