Hi, all. I gather from a previous post that I may have to play catch-up
again. Someone posted the phrase "after initial engorgement...", and I
was bothered by it, since my understanding of "engorgement" has been that
it is a pathological status usually but not always brought on by
mismanaged lactation by one of the breastfeeding dyad. I have fought for
years trying to convince moms that engorgement is not normal and not to be
expected as a natural outcome of breastfeeding. And now I understand that
engorgement *is* to be "expected"? Please, someone, explain.
TIA, Judy Knopf in the boonies
