Here is a quick update on the mom who called with a young baby with green frothy stools. After one week of not timing feedings (allowing baby to finish first side completely, sometimes one breast per feeding) and complete elimination of dairy, the baby had settled down to a very typical stooling pattern for her age. The baby continues to love nursing and is gaining weight well. The stools had been entirely yellow until the day we spoke by phone and there was a little green to them that day. With all of your suggestions (including sunglasses) and 3 referrals for more local support, she was sufficiently relieved and thanks you all. As do I.
Thanks!
