We don't wait until mom can sit OR turn on her side. Our moms come directly
from the c-section surgery room to their room for recovery and stay on the
gurney until they can move their legs. We just put a pillow under her arm so
she can cradle baby, put baby pretty much on his tummy, bunch up the breast a
bit so he can get a good mouthful, and they nurse with mom flat on her back.
(Baby's legs will be under mom's opposite breast.) I guess I thought everybody
did it this way!
