I agree with the posts saying moms should get local help first and foremost. However, I feel Pamela's post raised another issue. It seemed (unless I misread it) that her email address had probably been given, even through round-about ways, through Lactnet and (since she was surprised) most likely without her knowledge. It seems to me that this is not only an issue on how women get breastfeeding help, but also a privacy issue on Lactnet. I would certainly hope that people would ask permission to give out such information *before they do it*. I know that people can get addresses off the archive posts on the web, but it seems unlikely that a mom would go through post by post to find where people are from, looking for someone in her area. Also, Pamela's post sounded like this mom got her email address from a lady who got it from a lady who...... Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just feeling paranoid this morning?
