A tip for using vacuums for this kind of thing. Drill the 'suck making'
bit with a series of holes. By covering an appropriate number of holes
with tape the artificial 'leak' allows you to adjust the velocity of the
air flow infinitely untill its just right. This is hard to describe when
you don't have an example of the vacuum but I hope you get the
principle.
